WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
What are
GLP-1 Medications?
Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are a once weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist (GL Human Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) injections GL human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) used in diabetes management to control blood glucose levels. Common side effects of these medications include appetite suppression and weight loss, sp they are frequently used off-label for weight management support. GLP-1s are started at low doses and gradually increased (usually monthly) to achieve desired effects and patient goals.

The amount of time needed on the GLP-1 medication is fully dependent on patient starting weight, goal weight, response to medication, and side effects experienced. Reports of weight gain upon stopping the medication have been reported, especially when they are stopped suddenly due to rebound appetite stimulation. This is why adherence to diet and exercise after stopping the medication is important to achieve longterm goals.

It is incredibly important to be medically monitored while you are taking these medications, especially in the initial phase. Although Semaglutide and Tirzepatide are highly effective, they come with side effects that should not be minimized. HD Aesthetic Wellness provides medication along with direct access to a medical provider to monitor side effects, evaluate blood work, and guide you through this process.
